Description

The municipality of Rättvik is perhaps best known for its magnificent nature and its wealth of cultural traditions in music and art.

We also have a fine selection of various sports facilities such as an ice rink, multi-arena, golf courses, swimming pools, ski slopes, ski trails, and a variety of hiking and biking trails.

We are now looking for a certified special teacher with professional experience for a longer substitute position. You have a good ability to create social relationships and experience working at the secondary school level. We place great importance on you being a person with good collaboration skills as you will be part of a team with both special teachers, special educators, and teachers working in special support, as well as close collaboration with subject teachers at the school. Rättvik School is a secondary school with approximately 280 students, located in central Rättvik.

Job Description

The assignment is linked to students at the school, group, and individual levels both in the classroom and in the special support at the school. The special educator has a central role in the EHT work at the school and also in contact with guardians and students. The tasks include writing and following up on action programs as well as conducting pedagogical assessments and other documentation related to special interventions. It also includes observing teachers to support them in their assignments and assessments of classes.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a certified special teacher and/or special educator with experience. We expect you to be updated on current educational research in the field. You have the ability to address both complex and everyday issues and tasks in a structured, responsible manner from a holistic perspective. You also need to have an easy time collaborating and building good relationships with students and staff. It is important to us that you are clear in your message. Experience in the profession and working at the secondary school level is also meritorious.

Other

The position is a substitute with the possibility of extension and is a seasonal position.

Teacher certification and a valid extract from the police criminal record, according to the Education Act, must be presented at any interview.
